Sandra Westlund-Deenihan serves as President and Design Engineer of Quality Float Works, Inc., Inc. Since it was established in 1915, Quality Float Works, Inc. has grown into one of only three metal float manufacturing companies operating in the United States. Sandra has supervised its growth into a global competitor with exports to China, Vietnam, Singapore and countless European countries since she acquired ownership in 1995. Based in Schaumburg, Illinois, Quality Float Works, Inc. is recognized worldwide for its top-grade materials, excellent workmanship, exclusive designs and extraordinary engineering capability. Sandra employs high standards of skilled workmanship and product quality that have established the company as a premier market leader. Her sharp business sense is credited to a lifetime of experience in manufacturing. Sandra’s energy and enthusiasm for her company are born out of a family tradition of hard work and innovation that launched the business in 1915 by her grandfather. |

In 1995, Sandra invested her entire heart and finances into Quality Float Works, Inc. The success of the company and her passion for manufacturing has positioned her as a point person in the manufacturing industry for engineering and design. She has appeared on television programs such as Chicago Tonight and Bloomberg News and has been featured in Fortune Small Business, the Chicago Daily Herald, New York Times and Leadership Magazine. Sandra is committed to public service education and the future of the manufacturing industry. She has spoken at numerous high schools encouraging students to look at manufacturing as a future. Recently, Sandra has become a “Business Champion”; an elite task force of business leaders joining together to increase the competitiveness of the American workforce. Sandra holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Tooling Manufacturing Association, National Association of Manufacturers and National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB). Sandra and her husband, Maurice, reside in Illinois. |
