Calculations of Buoyancy
Buoyancy available for the operation of mechanisms by means of floats is based on the difference between weight of the float itself, and weight of the liquid displaced. Lever arm linkages, either simple or compound, may by used to multiply the net buoyancy of the float itself. While many types will be familiar to designers, the assistance of the Quality Float Works engineering department is available for advice in the design of suitable equipment.
